How does smell proof function work?

Activated carbon neutralizes odors and traps harmful chemicals and gases in its pores. Just as a sponge absorbs water on contact, this technology absorbs molecules in proximity.

When the odor molecules come into contact with the activated carbon, they are trapped within the pores, where they are locked and neutralized.

Both, absorption capacity and efficiency, ultimately depend on the way the product is cared for.

HOW CAN THE ACTIVATED CARBON LAYERS BE REACTIVATED?

Take a hair dryer and turn it to low heat to dry the inside and outside of your product thoroughly by doing a paintbrush motion. The heat passing through the charcoal fabric will reactivate the charcoal lining in about 5 minutes. This will cleanse out the pores of the carbon layer, reactivating its efficiency to 90%.

HOW CAN I WASH PRODUCTS WITH SMELL PROOF CARBON TECHNOLOGY?

Take a damp washcloth and simply wipe both the interior mesh and exterior areas with care. Wiping it down with a damp cloth will remove any surface residue and help to maintain the effectiveness of the odor absorbing charcoal elements.

WHY DOES IT HAVE A MESH LINER?

The mesh makes it possible for odors to be in direct contact with the carbon lining in that it allows the air to flow freely through its surface. Considering the activated carbon filter needs to be directly exposed to odors in order to work, the mesh proves to be essential. Make sure the air flows freely through the mesh to the carbon layers.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO USE SMELL PROOF PRODUCTS?

While our odorless products are of the highest quality in the industry, we recommend using our products along with the airtight sealed bags, jars, or tubes to enhance their efficiency and durability.

HOW OFTEN DO THE CARBON LAYERS NEED TO BE REACTIVATED?

Typically, the activated carbons will keep goods fresh and odor-free for 6 to 9 months. Then, it can be easily Re-Activated. While cleaning your produt regularly helps keep the product in good shape longer, it is by no means essential. We suggest cleaning it only if it begins to smell or if you notice it isn’t working just as well as it should.

CAN I WASH IT IN A WASHING MACHINE?

We highly recommend avoiding a washing machine in that it will make the carbon clump and be rendered useless. It is of vital importance to prevent the inside of your product from getting wet.

CAN I REPLACE THE CHARCOAL LAYERS?

Our smell proof products can be reactivated if necessary, and thus they can last a lifetime provided the product is used with care. While it’s true the carbon lining cannot be replaced, you can reactivate the carbon layers of your product.

Padlock instructions

You can change the combination of this 3-dial padlock quite easily by following these steps:

1.

Rotate the 3 dials until the default combination set by the manufacturer (000 in this case) lines up to open the shackle.

2.

Press the reset button on the side right of the padlock and hold it while you simply rotate the 3 dials until the new combination lines up.

Release the button once the combination has been set and check the shackle opens.

3.

Rotate the dials once again and get a random combination to make sure the shackle is properly locked.

It is worth noting that this combination can be changed as many times as needed by repeating the same process starting with the last combination you set.

It is possible that the model of your lock has some minor differences in design, but its function is exactly the same.
